The game loves beef, and today they’ll be eating like a night at at the steakhouse. Today Beanie Sigel, longtime Roc-a-Fella representer and Jay-Z compatriot, released a diss track called “What You Talkin Bout (Average Cat)” that in no uncertain terms calls out Hova for a long list of perceived transgressions. In other words, I think it’s safe to say their friendship is over. Quick background: Assuming this evolves into a full-fledged beef, in two months we’ll have completely forgotten how it all started, so let’s take a minute to review the roots of the rift between Beanie and Hova. Long story short, Beanie blames the low sales of his last album “The Solution” was because Jay-Z’s former label Def Jam failed to properly promote it. Further complicating things matters, Beanie’s none to happy that Jay didn’t visit him in jail or allegedly allow him to be released from his Roc-a-Fella contract. Or as Beanie says/yells at the end of the track: “I think I held my tongue long enough about this whole Roc-a-Fella situation. I was the realest thing that happened to the Roc. The Roc was just a rock. I brought the fellas to Roc-a-Fella records. State Property, y’all remember. I brought street cred to that…I fought all them battles. Me, that’s who.” Because I find there’s no situation in life that isn’t applicable to “The Wire”, let me break down the situation like this. Jay is Stringer Bell, the intelligent, careful businessman who runs the entire network, and Beanie is Bodie, the guy who’s actually on the corner, taking bullets and returning fire. While it’s absolutely true that without guys like Beanie/Bodie the operation couldn’t run, the truth is that there are always more Beanie/Bodies out there, but the Jay-Z/Stringer leader, that guy only comes along once in a generation, and without him there wouldn’t be a business in the first place. Man, “The Wire” explains everything. Now the inevitable wait for a Jay-Z response begins. Enjoy GUCCI MANE /PLIES / RON DIGGS - WASTED REMIXOctober 30, 2009 08:37 AM PDT

Madd Mike (AKA) Michael Harper DIRTY SOUTH Petersburg, Virginia Madd was born into this world on January 9, 1981 with the gift of music. Big Bro Spot set the foundation and at the age of twelve, Madd began writing his own lyrics. The first cut from Madd was released in 1994. BOOT MOB 4-LIFE where Madd showed love. Madd went on vacation leaving the world and life of Hip-Hop for eleven months. He returned in 1998 dropping three more head bangers Together We Stand, Fake Thugs and the family calabo Straighten the Facts featuring Trife, Spot, Big D. and Madd (himself). Madd continued to find ways to open the doors for the JUZ-UZ family. With determination, hard work and family unity all the Boot Mob wanted to do was put P town on the map leaving a legacy for their fellow brothers and children. MYK-WUT / SPOTISH What happens when you cross a southern slurred style of rhyme with a hypnotic production, from the Midwest? The answer is; a brand new style of Hip-Hop labeled as Mind Control, brought to you by Spotish and Myk-??? (Wut). The duo hooked up in Petersburg, Virginia in 1995. At the time recording underground demos and mix tapes, plagued by personal set back and small town politics. Myk-??? Left Virginia returning to his hometown in Chicago. Shortly afterwards, Spotish left for Washington, D.C. but never loosing the love for Hip-Hop. The two kept in contact with each other in hopes of one-day coming together and doing a full-length project. As The Years Go By, featuring such songs as the Una-Bomber where Spotish relates to the real life Una-Bomber, Ted Kazinsky in lyrical form. (The actual bombing took place on Spotishs birthday 4/19/1995). Distribution features a bass heavy track with a mind controlling vibe. Discussing our industry goal Gotta Get This Land. Freaka-Freaka is the party anthem for Petersburg, also known as Freakerburgs. Makes No Sense displays the versatility of Spotish as an artist appealing to the Hip-Hop culture on a whole. Outta Place is the story of events that took place one rainy night before a show. Spotish and Myk-??? Never made it. With influences such as: Quincy Jones, D.J. Premiere and Organized Noise, Spotish and Myk-??? Plan on bringing diversity into an industry where everything sounds the same! THE BIOGRAPHY OF DANIEL BELL Daniel Bell (aka) Big D, (aka) Dezal was born in Baltimore, Maryland but raised in Virginia. He started listening to rap music at a very early age. When he was six years old, his big brother Sean wrote Daniels first verse. Sense then hes been devoted and had a love for music. Six years later in Virginia Daniel met his right hand man, Madd Mike. Madd and Daniel used to play tag while they listened to the infamous sounds of Trife and S.P. Madd and Daniel always wanted to follow in their footsteps of creating lyrics and putting them into sound. S.P. wrote three verses for Mike, Big Ds little brother and Big D. Madd Mikes brother used to tell them that if they could rap and represent then he would work with them in fulfilling their dreams and goals as musicians. More than ten years later S.P. got them into the studio every other day dropping jewels. Trying to bring about a new and better sound to Hip-Hop such as: We Da Boot, Practice Makes Perfect and Together We Stand. A new Millennium sound. Today, the Juz-Uz family is one step closer to being perfect because Together They Stood creating lyrics and sounds that all could relate to. At the age of five Shawn remembers listening to Marvin Gaye coming home from his grandfathers house. Ever since then, Shawn knew he wanted to make music. When Shawn first went to school he always knew what he wanted to do. His mom , Linda James always expressed the arts hoping one day that Shawn would play music in the church. By the age of 10, Shawn studied music at the Newark Community School of the arts where he learned music theory and the piano. During Shawn's elementary years he studied with Mr. Burcart and Ms. Thorton at the Union Ave School this is where he learned how to play drums. Sitting in classes listing and imitating others in the music game was all Shawn did. When Shawn first listen to hip hop Shawn knew he was going to make his mark in the game of hip hop and R&B. Shawn express the freedom he has as an artist producer through music. As time passes Shawn was introduced to making beatz by a long time friend . Then C Notes knew then he was going to be successful at music. 1997 was the year when Shawn really started taking music seriously. While in college Shawn did not study music but was always still around it. The summer of 1997 Shawn went to Priority Records and interned there for the hole summer as he sat in the meeting room every day he knew he had to do something . But in Shawn's mind he knew clearly he was a head of his time. And to this date people still don't know where he comes up with the brilliant hooks, verses, drops, breakdowns and so forth.
In 2000 Shawn managed to get a management and Production deal with Ali Shaheed Muhammed, formally from the group tribe called quest, and DJ Uncle Mike . For three years Shawn made music for ali shaheed Muhammad for the label garden seeker productions. Shawn's hip hop influences are ; Eric b., Grand Master Theodore, AJ, 45 king, Timberland , Dr.Dre DJ Quik, Scott Storch, Easy Moe Bee, D-Dot, Just Blaze, Blessed from Soul Diggaz ,JD, Mozart,Bach, Beethoven, Pete Rock, DJ Premiere, Wyclef, Ali Shaheed Muhammad, RZA, Kay Gee, Young Saga, Phill Good Skills, Bode One, Roc So Well, Alchemist, Africa Bambada, Neptunes, Baby Face, R.Kelly, Quincy Jones, Dave Brubeck, Havoc, and Ron Lawrence. Strength does not come from winning. Your struggles develop your strengths. When you go through hardships and decide not to surrender, that is strength. This quote defines the meaning of young rap superstar Swazy Baby's life. Slip 'N Slide Records' rap newcomer Swazy Baby is marking new territory and creating that new sound to rap music. Brought up in a less fortunate home, raised by a single mother and determined to provide a way for his family; a raw aptitude that beyond all measures has never failed to embrace his supporters with a smile. Although limited, he found a resource to tap into his musical gift and share his inner most secrets through music and introduce his story of how you can take a bad situation and turn it into a good one. Overcoming struggles and hardship, this rapper knows what it takes to undergo hard times and adversity and still come out on top. Aspiring to become a permanent fixture among the rap community; this young mutlifaceted artist is making it his business to breath "fresh air" into the music industry. Born and raised in Cordele, Georgia the young lyricist experienced privation and hardship early on in life as a teenager; Swazy Baby was shuttled between his mother, grandmother, and other relatives. Nevertheless he forged ahead in spite of his adversities and decided to pursue music as a full time career. Now signed with the Slip 'N Slide Records all star team, this nineteen year old is destined nothing short of long term success. "I am very happy to be a member of the Slip 'N Slide Records family, ever since I was a little boy, Slip 'N Slide has been a major staple in not only the south market but all over the country." "I know that with Slip 'N Slide Records behind me I have a bright future, I plan to bring the heat and create classic timeless rap music, like my forefathers Trick Daddy, Jay Z, Nas and more." At a first glance Swazy Baby might seem unsuspecting, but his focus is on none other than "banging out the hits" creating good quality rap music, that individuals can appreciate for years to come. "As a rapper from the ghetto, I don't want to highlight my struggles and upbringings like other rappers, instead I want to rap about working towards the future and showing communities around the world that if you work hard at something, good things will come to you. I am the voice of the hood, I am here to inspire." Swazy Baby draws inspiration from rappers such as Lil' Wayne, Rick Ross and more. He credits all the musical legends that came before him. "I respect all art. In fact, they all fall under one category if you ask me..."poetry." It's all pure poetry in different forms." When he's able to pull himself away from his "poetry", he enjoys writing and producing music, spending time with his family and seeking ways to improve his "craft" and last but not least; some quiet time to relax giving him an opportunity to focus and realign with what he calls "my humbled self." Ellis Uniques: We Don’t Die; We Multiply! Just one year after the release of the debut album, 35 Miles, Ellis Uniques is back with a brand new single, a whole new look and a bangin’ new sound. The group’s new single, Really Really, will set the stage for a new album, tentatively titled Something So Delicious, and judging by the sound of the first single – delicious it will be. Really Really finds the band venturing into a more clubby Pop/International sound with a big catchy hook. The new sound is a reflection of where the artists who make up the collective known as Ellis Uniques are right now, and that seems to be a very good place, judging from the more melodic sound, perfectly suitable for pop and urban media outlets. And with the sonic difference, also comes the emergence of the new look. As the duo embraces a fresh start and a new perspective, gone are the long, colorful locs fans and supporters have come to recognize as a signature look for the band. Opting for a sleeker look, the band is poised for another round of successful musical endeavors with the release of new music. “It’s definitely an exciting time for us,” producer and lyricist Richie Skye explained. “We’ve been through quite a bit over the past two years, and we’ve learned so much more about the industry. At this point, it’s all about the singles, and maximizing the success and exposure of each single so that when the album finally does drop, people are familiar – they’ll know us, and they’ll have an expectation of what to expect: great music that’s different and fun, but you can easily digest it.” “And that’s why we’re calling this whole project Something So Delicious,” lead vocalist E. Maria continued. “The music this time is different, a lot more melodic, more harmonies, and a lot more driven by the vocals. The fierce beats and instrumentation is still there, but on this album, you’re going to hear some vocal ear candy. It’s going to taste good going down, so good that you’ll just have to have more. And this time it’s really about the marketing and gaining fans one city; and one musical note at a time. Ellis Uniques is really just beginning: We don’t die, we multiply!” The band supports Music for a Cause hosted by MD Management and VA’s own rap superstar, Audra. Music for a Cause raises awareness of youth violence and HIV and AIDS among the youth community. The musical collective formed in 2003, the combined genius of E. Maria and Richie Skye. Having collaborated with a plethora of musicians and background singers, the duo began work on their debut album in 2007. The album, 35 Miles, was released in January of 2008 (currently on iTunes), spawning instant classics like Fade Away and STOP. Immediately after the release, the group embarked on a promotional tour trekking through the Eastern Atlantic region before venturing to the West Coast, and finishing in the summer of 2008. After a brief hiatus for the fall of 2008, the band refocused to set its sights on album #2, giving birth to a brand new start. Now with the release of Really Really, with a video to shortly follow, Ellis Uniques has raised the bar with a new objective: world domination. Will you be a part of the Unique Movement? For more information about Ellis Uniques, visit www.ellisuniquesmusic.com and http://twittter.com/EllisUniques ; and be sure to follow E.Maria and Richie Skye daily on Twitter as they prepare to conquer the world

(BEAM ME UP SCOTTY MIXTAPE!)
Biography of Nicki Minaj
Take a look at the confidence, sex appeal and lyrical strength of Nicki Minaj, and it’s no wonder that Lil Wayne wanted her to be the face of Young Money. Singing hooks for other artists early on, the Queens native’s career as an emcee started about a year ago. Fendi, the CEO of Brooklyn label Dirty Money Records, heard the tracks on Nicki’s MySpace page and had to contact her to put her on his The Come Up DVD series. “My whole thing was, I didn’t want to go to anyone. I wanted to heat up the streets first, and have them come to me,” Nicki remembers. “I was so out of the loop with the whole underground DVD circuit. I just met some dude named Fendi, heard about a DVD called The Come Up and I hopped on it.” This installment of The Come Up was “The Carter Edition,” and had segments with Lil Wayne and Jay-Z, Nicki’s video immediately proceeded Wayne’s. The emcee du jour, who was putting together his Young Money crew at the time, was so impressed by the video that he immediately began pursuing her for the label. “I always liked him,” she says. “… So for him to turn around and see me and like me? It’s almost like it was meant to happen.” Wayne and Nicki linked up through Fendi, and the two have been recording ever since. Nicki would later appear on the “Can’t Stop Won’t Stop” freestyle on Wayne’s critically-hailed mixtape Da Drought 3. As for Sucka Free: The Mixtape , “Baddest Bitch” sees her showcasing nimble-tongued shit-talking while also singing her own hook, and on “Brraaatttt,” her hardnosed verses (”I leave clips in ya head like a beautician,” she quips) have no problem keeping up with those of fellow East Coast emcee Ransom. “High As A Kite” shows the potential of the future of Young Money, as Nicki and Wayne’s rhymes each ooze with the swagger that embodies the label. “Everything is true to my New York essence, but it’s something you’re not used to hearing from female rappers,” she says. “It’s all about the swag. I never look at what people are saying, I look at their aura—do I want to hang with them, do I want to go to a club with them?” Nicki has a clear understanding of how things work for being so new in the industry. While her witty lyrics and engaging delivery already equip her to rap circles around both her male and female peers, she also realizes that her looks are what’s going to catch eyes: the double-sided promo poster for Sucka Free shows a bikini-clad Nicki squatting, while seductively licking a lollipop. “There’s a place and deal for everyone in the business. You have to know your niche and be confident in that, take it and go,” she unapologetically states. “I know my lane is probably going to be ’sex sells,’ but at the end of the day, I know I’ve got skills. And if that’s my niche, I don’t have a problem saying that’s my niche” . CAM'RON / JADAKISS- LETS TALK ABOUTMay 06, 2009 07:45 PM PDT

Blok Boyz are not trying to " Re-invent the wheel", but they are perfecting it no bells, no whistles, no gimmicks needed. Years of recording, grinding, performing, and hands on hard work are imbeded in there music. These Philadelphia natives are true to their roots with hardcore lyrical style, but unlike others they have a plethera of styles and songs. The Blok Boyz consist of two artist BadNewz (aka Yung Hus) & Six-Mil. They have a " Talk is Cheap" demeanor and compliment each other with their styles. Basically they let their music speak for itself!!! JOOCE- HIT ME ON MY TWITTERApril 18, 2009 08:43 PM PDT

The current music scene is never destitute or in need of a new hip hop dance, cliché or music movement, however the entertainment industry would be non existent if new and innovative, possibilities, languages, and challenges were not developed through new musical talent. Hip Hop is always in search of that new sound and form of distinction and most importantly a female songstress who is not afraid to step outside your traditional “R&B” box and sing lyrics that represent not only the streets, but the ongoing struggle of women around the world. This distinction is found in Slip n Slide Records’ newcomer SHONIE. Life for a woman is anything but easy, that’s why South Bronx, New York native SHONIE got an early start in her music career. At the tender age of nine years old, the young singer and her family moved to Miami, Florida and forged ahead towards a new scenery and outlook on life. During SHONIE and her family's shift to South Florida; her mother recognized her daughter's budding vocal talent. “My mom was heavily involved in the church, so it was only right that I join the church choir. It was at that time that my mom noticed my ability to carry a note. She then began to have me sing in front of different people to see if they would get the same reaction as she had after listening to me sing at church and around the house, and they all had the same response by saying, “That girl can SANG!!!” I had written my first song when I was 9 years old and finally got the chance to record it when my mom arranged for me to go into a real studio.” Immediately after moving to Miami, the young doe–eyed songstress began her longtime journey as a singer. At the age of 17, SHONIE was offered a recording deal with an independent record label in Miami named South Beat Records. It was there that she met her manager James Jackson of Slick Salt Entertainment, who released her nationally distributed mix tape, which was hosted by the infamous DJ Khaled. The female vocalist originally came onto the music scene as a rapper. “I have the gift to be versatile, so I plan on showing both sides.” As any aspiring vocalist/songwriter/rapper would do, SHONIE kept her musical goals at hand. To date she has worked with the likes of various nationwide celebrities including Hip-Hop Superstar Trina, on the tracks such as “Wish I never Met You”, Flo Rida, B5, Trick Daddy, Cool & Dre and more. The inventive singer does not mind sharing her thoughts, secrets, or emotions to the world through her music. “I want to touch people all over the world with not only my vocal abilities, but my truth which is birthed through my lyrics. I want to be known as the popular songstress that is respected and successful for my sincerity that is displayed through my music.” JADAKISS / REAKWON / GHOSTFACE - CARTEL GATHERINGApril 08, 2009 08:34 AM PDT

ALLN COMMITTEE BIOGRAPHY Sprouting from the roots of Ohio, in the year 2003, was the beginning of a journey for the ALLN COMMITTEE. The ALLN COMMITTEE is an organization of talented artists, developing their skills in every component of music. The ALLN COMMITTEE consists of rappers/singers, dancers, studio engineers, producers, etc. ALLN visualizes that they will compete successfully in the music industry with their unity of the many different genres of music. This organization is very consistent with producing their albums and music projects. These young, talented artists work hard to produce great music. The first studio album produced by the ALLN COMMITTEE was Royal Flush, released in 2004. The first studio album was named Royal Flush because they felt like they had the best of each style of rap united on one album. Also, in Poker the royal flush is the best hand that you can be dealt, so they felt like they had the royal flush. Considering no promotion or radio play, the album did okay in the small market of Akron, Ohio. In order to enhance the interest in ALLN, they knew they would need to use all genres of music instead of just rap music. So over the next few years, they were building the organization up. No other studio album was released after Royal Flush, due to the building process of ALLN COMMITTEE, but they continued to work and now they are back in the studio recording the new album, Music IN The Bag. On this album people should expect the unexpected. Promoters should want to promote and labels should want to get behind this project because, they’ve got $dollar$ signs written all over it! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BTKlV1HNxrI JIM JONES / LUDACRIS/NOE- HOW TO BE A BOSSMarch 24, 2009 11:10 PM PDT

MASS GUILIANO- CHASE THE DAY AWAY
October 06, 2008 01:42 PM PDT
"I Ain't No Joke" by Rakim, a song that defied logic and summarized what it meant to be a emcee, an anthem for upcoming generations and the beginning of one man’s fate. Mass Guiliano, born and raised in Philadelphia, remembers hearing Rakim’s lyrics and knowing that he was ready to begin his journey as a great lyricist. Munajj Askia Shareef Smith which is the acronym for Mass took the name Guiliano from a movie named "The Sicilian", where a man named Salvatore Guiliano rises up against his foes to become a savior for his family and for his people, and that's exactly what Mass intends to do. Growing up, his mother was the biggest influence. It was her hard work and her personal perseverance through adversities. Being raised in a single parent household, Mass did not enjoy a luxurious life, but his mother always reminded him to always make the best out of every situation and everything they were fortunate to have. It was that wisdom that has kept Mass humble and always to persevere. Success and his true passion for music is what drive him in this industry. Being born in the 80’s and raised on 90’s hip hop, an era that defies comparison in his opinion; he is about to breathe new life into hip hop, through lyrics and originality, illustrated in lyrics such as “They don’t love to hate me, matter fact they hate they love, ain’t no sense in lying cause denial is very ugly”. Mass believes in never settling for mediocre music and believes his fans shouldn’t either. He (believes) that as an artist you have an obligation to earn the support of your fans. He encourages people to listen to music and form their own opinions as to what is hot and what is not, be a leader, not a follower, and set your standards high. He attended high school with the likes of Reck Ro, Miz M.A.F, and Hommicide. In fact, he and Miz played on the same championship Pop Warner football team, The Oak Lane Wildcats in the mid 90's. This led to the birth of StreetSpittas Entertainment. Still today Mass is a member of Street Spittas Entertainment and affiliated with the U.K.- Liberty Bell Records. In addition to Mass, the Street Spittas family is comprised of Miz M.A.F, Hommicide, Al Gutta, and Reck Ro. Together they are about to reach new magnitudes with their music. Mass has appeared on Miz M.A.F’s, “The Comeback”, and “The Drama Lounge” and has been featured with appearances at “My Mic Monday’s” at Liquid Charm in Philadelphia, “Industry’s Tuesdays” at Club Samba, and Xandu Night Club in Philadelphia. His current project is "Tha Masterpiece"/Streetspittas Ent. This is a collection of urban classics and hits that speak to people in all walks of life. Mass will continue to flood the streets with mixtapes and collaborations that are sure to impart hip hop today. You can find more information about Mass Guiliano and Street Spittas Ent. A classic blue-collar town with less than a 100k for population sits right smack dab in the fertile crescent of the east side bay area. Welcome to Richmond, California. The city ranked number one in the state for murder per capital yet considered a national monument for building battleships during world war two. Introducing the world to the "Rosie the Riveter" working woman I-con, this city was built on hard labor through tough times. By this definition, hard work always pays off and the hardest working group in Richmond is DaTrendsettaz. A four-man clan fresh out of high school that truly brings a unique blend of chemistry that helps them separate from the rest of the pack.

T.D. - %100

T.D. “THE MAYOR OF TRILLADELPHIA” In a city where the coldness of the streets has taken over the lives of many of its inhabitants, Ted “T.D.” Dibiase is determined to bring warmth back to the only place he has ever called home. With a knack for stringing words together, the ability to immerse himself in a verse, and the ‘know how’ of how to touch the people, this 23-year-old emcee is giving that warmth through his music. As his craft continues to excel and the tales of his talents continue to spread, his career is steadily coming to exactly where it needs to be, at the forefront. Motivated and determined to live a career full of longevity, T.D. was born and raised in the North Philadelphia section of Hunting Park. Known for its harsh realities and uncompromising positions, Hunting Park, like many other urban neighborhoods included the lure of the streets. Answering that call only a few times before deciding to rely on his God given talent for music, T.D. drew upon his own family legacy for strength. As a founding member of the once popular but still well known group, The Ambassadors, T.D.’s father kept the sounds of music present in their family strong household. When it came time for this rapper to venture out to develop his own talent is was indeed that music that helped fine tune his own sound. Accomplishing far more than the average rapper in Philadelphia, T.D. quickly found a home as a member of the duo, Doe Stackas. Now presently solo, he is ready and fully able and capable of exercising his independence. Although the young and talented word slinger acquired countless recognition in the industry while a member of the duo, in the form of features on DJ’s mix tapes from DJ Kay-Slay to Funk Master Flex, an adaptor by habit, T.D. is far from being prone to the acceptance of defeat. As his first order of business as a solo artist, T.D dropped his first mix tape entitled “Stacker of The Year”; hosted by the Affiliate’s own Ace McClowd. Successful in creating a bigger buzz in his city than he ever had as a member of his previous group, T.D. knows what it takes to make his career come to pass on a national level. With that initial buzz, T.D.’s also became known as “The Savior of H.P”, and “The Mayor of TRILLadelphia” which all derived from his own neighborhood Hunting Park natives. Now with 2008 in full swing T.D. has garnished features on mix tapes by various DJ’s across the country. With a recent release of what he refers to as a warm-up record featuring Roc-A-Fella artist Peedi Crakk entitled “I Don’t Care,” T.D. looks to give the streets what they are looking for. Produced by up and coming producer, Young Ike Turna, who also happens to be T.D.’s blood brother “I Don’t Care” is currently the number 1 record on Philadelphia’s only major radio station (Power99fm). “I’m very well rounded,” states T.D. when discussing his capabilities. “I know how to make a good song, battle, and freestyle. But my best attribute is I’m marketable and able to appeal to the ladies and be accepted by the men.” As T.D.’s ability to make good quality music continues, it shouldn’t be long before this polished individual reaches his superstar potential. With his current single “100 Percent” heavily in rotation on Philadelphia own Power99fm the streets of Hunting Park are starting to look pretty warm to its inhabitants. NWA - FUCK THA POLICE

Day of protest over Bell case may mean potential nightmare for commuters BY NICOLE BODE and CORKY SIEMASZKO
Wednesday, May 7th 2008, 4:00 AM Prayers and protests by Sean Bell supporters could turn Wednesday's evening commute into a New York nightmare. Led by the Rev. Al Sharpton, the demonstrators have chosen six spots around the city - that also happen to be near key transit locations - to stage "pray-ins" aimed at getting the attention of the feds. The protesters will begin mobilizing at 3 p.m., and simultaneous demonstrations will be staged in front of federal buildings in Chicago and Atlanta, where the Bell tragedy has also sparked outrage among African-Americans. Sharpton insisted the demonstrations will be peaceful, but he's willing to get arrested to protest the acquittal of the three cops who gunned Bell down on his wedding day in a 50-bullet barrage. "If you are not going to lock up the guilty in this town, then I guess you'll have to lock up the innocent," Sharpton said. Bell's parents, William and Valerie, said they plan to take part in the protest at 1 Police Plaza - but aren't looking to get arrested. "I appreciate what people are doing as long as it's peaceful," Valerie Bell said. "I have my family to take care of." Bell's fiancée, Nicole Paultre Bell, and the two survivors of the Nov. 25, 2006, shooting - Trent Benefield and Joseph Guzman - will also take part in the protests. "They will do whatever it takes to get justice in the name of Sean Bell, even get arrested by way of nonviolent civil disobedience," said Rachel Noerdlinger, spokeswoman for Sharpton's National Action Network. Police said they're prepared for any trouble. "Everybody can rest assured we will enforce the law and we will do everything we can to make sure we don't violate anybody's rights," Mayor Bloomberg said. "At the same time, those people who don't want to protest, they have rights, too." Sharpton and other black leaders want to pressure federal prosecutors into trying Detectives Michael Oliver, Gescard Isnora and Marc Cooper for violating Bell's civil rights. The detectives were acquitted of all criminal charges on April25. Bell supporters have vowed to clog city streets from Harlem to Brooklyn to register their rage. Sharpton's team vowed to have lawyers at every location to monitor the protesters and ensure their rights are observed. "I have attorneys that will be at every site," said Michael Hardy, civil lawyer for Paultre Bell and the shooting survivors. "Our job is to make sure that everything is peaceful, that people's rights are not violated, we know where they are going, and they're released expeditiously." DEAL OR NO DEAL -FOCUSONTHEDJ.COM

So Much Swagg Inc. Presents Grandz . . . Real name Aki Brice, was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. As a young child he was always into music dancing every time music would play, once he knew how to talk, reciting the words to every song he knew. His mother always knew he would be something in the music industry but she never knew what so she would buy him toy music instruments such as guitars and drums etc. At the age of 13, Grandz got tired of seeing his mother struggling as a single parent and wanted more for himself and his family so that's when he decided to stop reciting rhymes from what he heard and started writing his own songs. Being labeled as a Mama’s boy and not being able to keep up with the latest fashions made Grandz so called friends label him the last to succeed at music or anything that he did, so that gave Grandz the inspiration and drive to really go hard at his new found craft. Grandz was influenced by the artists that were already out at his time such as Run DMC, Big Daddy Kane, and Public Enemy, etc. But when he decided to seriously take up rapping it wasn't until he was 16 when he got his influence from his peers and his surroundings. Grandz has been in many groups dating back to 1993 when he was in high school but with his unique voice and delivery he was always forced to be a solo artist. Grandz has successfully entertained the audiences of many colleges such as Medgar Evers College, New York City Tech, York College, Brooklyn Tech and even John Jay College. Grandz has also performed at such venues as the Boston Comedy Club, Club Pyramid, Jones Beach Greek Fest and Grandz has also headlined a free concert at Battery Park. Grandz has featured on mix tapes such as DJ Chink William’s “Street Credits Vol 1” and several DJ OnPoint mix tapes. Grandz has also just recently landed a spot on the soundtrack of an up coming movie titled "You're Nobody Till Somebody Kills You" directed by Michael "Boogie" Pinkney of Blackfoot Films and produced by Spike Lee. The movie is said to be released early 2008. Grandz also has a small role in the movie where he plays the part of a bouncer of a nightclub for an album release party. “GLEAM” is the name of Grandz latest single that is getting spins by a couple of DJs in a couple of clubs and in 3 short weeks it has been getting Grandz a large buzz on the streets. Grandz is currently working with the likes of Hollywood, Spunk and the legendary Casanova Rud that make up So Much Swagg Inc. Grandz has been compared to the likes of Nelly, Joe Buddens, Busta Rhymes and even Ja Rule when it comes to his energetic stage performances but when it comes to his delivery and presence on the mic there is no comparison this young artist is in a class all by himself. With his raspy voice and sarcastic yet dramatic delivery he stands alone. Universal MC is the way to describe this young artist from club bangers to LL Cool J like ladies songs to street anthems to vivid stories of his life and the streets. Grandz does it all! So in conclusion any label interested in signing Grandz or even considering it should know that Grandz would make a strong contribution to anyone’s roster, this artist knows what it takes to make hits and not only to rap, this artist knows what dedication and determination are all about and with knowledge of the streets and having an ear for good music on top of being from the borough of legends such as Big Daddy Kane, the late great Biggie Smalls and none other than Jay Z himself, Grandz shows how he fits right in ........Grandz he is definitely a true P.O.M.E. ( Product of My Environment).......be on the look out for this rising superstar.
