Bio
A classic blue-collar town with less than a 100k for population sits right smack dab in the fertile crescent of the east side bay area. Welcome to Richmond, California. The city ranked number one in the state for murder per capital yet considered a national monument for building battleships during world war two. Introducing the world to the "Rosie the Riveter" working woman I-con, this city was built on hard labor through tough times. By this definition, hard work always pays off and the hardest working group in Richmond is DaTrendsettaz. A four-man clan fresh out of high school that truly brings a unique blend of chemistry that helps them separate from the rest of the pack.

T.D. “THE MAYOR OF TRILLADELPHIA” In a city where the coldness of the streets has taken over the lives of many of its inhabitants, Ted “T.D.” Dibiase is determined to bring warmth back to the only place he has ever called home. With a knack for stringing words together, the ability to immerse himself in a verse, and the ‘know how’ of how to touch the people, this 23-year-old emcee is giving that warmth through his music. As his craft continues to excel and the tales of his talents continue to spread, his career is steadily coming to exactly where it needs to be, at the forefront. Motivated and determined to live a career full of longevity, T.D. was born and raised in the North Philadelphia section of Hunting Park. Known for its harsh realities and uncompromising positions, Hunting Park, like many other urban neighborhoods included the lure of the streets. Answering that call only a few times before deciding to rely on his God given talent for music, T.D. drew upon his own family legacy for strength. As a founding member of the once popular but still well known group, The Ambassadors, T.D.’s father kept the sounds of music present in their family strong household. When it came time for this rapper to venture out to develop his own talent is was indeed that music that helped fine tune his own sound. Accomplishing far more than the average rapper in Philadelphia, T.D. quickly found a home as a member of the duo, Doe Stackas. Now presently solo, he is ready and fully able and capable of exercising his independence. Although the young and talented word slinger acquired countless recognition in the industry while a member of the duo, in the form of features on DJ’s mix tapes from DJ Kay-Slay to Funk Master Flex, an adaptor by habit, T.D. is far from being prone to the acceptance of defeat. As his first order of business as a solo artist, T.D dropped his first mix tape entitled “Stacker of The Year”; hosted by the Affiliate’s own Ace McClowd. Successful in creating a bigger buzz in his city than he ever had as a member of his previous group, T.D. knows what it takes to make his career come to pass on a national level. With that initial buzz, T.D.’s also became known as “The Savior of H.P”, and “The Mayor of TRILLadelphia” which all derived from his own neighborhood Hunting Park natives. Now with 2008 in full swing T.D. has garnished features on mix tapes by various DJ’s across the country. With a recent release of what he refers to as a warm-up record featuring Roc-A-Fella artist Peedi Crakk entitled “I Don’t Care,” T.D. looks to give the streets what they are looking for. Produced by up and coming producer, Young Ike Turna, who also happens to be T.D.’s blood brother “I Don’t Care” is currently the number 1 record on Philadelphia’s only major radio station (Power99fm). “I’m very well rounded,” states T.D. when discussing his capabilities. “I know how to make a good song, battle, and freestyle. But my best attribute is I’m marketable and able to appeal to the ladies and be accepted by the men.” As T.D.’s ability to make good quality music continues, it shouldn’t be long before this polished individual reaches his superstar potential. With his current single “100 Percent” heavily in rotation on Philadelphia own Power99fm the streets of Hunting Park are starting to look pretty warm to its inhabitants.

Day of protest over Bell case may mean potential nightmare for commuters BY NICOLE BODE and CORKY SIEMASZKO
Wednesday, May 7th 2008, 4:00 AM Prayers and protests by Sean Bell supporters could turn Wednesday's evening commute into a New York nightmare. Led by the Rev. Al Sharpton, the demonstrators have chosen six spots around the city - that also happen to be near key transit locations - to stage "pray-ins" aimed at getting the attention of the feds. The protesters will begin mobilizing at 3 p.m., and simultaneous demonstrations will be staged in front of federal buildings in Chicago and Atlanta, where the Bell tragedy has also sparked outrage among African-Americans. Sharpton insisted the demonstrations will be peaceful, but he's willing to get arrested to protest the acquittal of the three cops who gunned Bell down on his wedding day in a 50-bullet barrage. "If you are not going to lock up the guilty in this town, then I guess you'll have to lock up the innocent," Sharpton said. Bell's parents, William and Valerie, said they plan to take part in the protest at 1 Police Plaza - but aren't looking to get arrested. "I appreciate what people are doing as long as it's peaceful," Valerie Bell said. "I have my family to take care of." Bell's fiancée, Nicole Paultre Bell, and the two survivors of the Nov. 25, 2006, shooting - Trent Benefield and Joseph Guzman - will also take part in the protests. "They will do whatever it takes to get justice in the name of Sean Bell, even get arrested by way of nonviolent civil disobedience," said Rachel Noerdlinger, spokeswoman for Sharpton's National Action Network. Police said they're prepared for any trouble. "Everybody can rest assured we will enforce the law and we will do everything we can to make sure we don't violate anybody's rights," Mayor Bloomberg said. "At the same time, those people who don't want to protest, they have rights, too." Sharpton and other black leaders want to pressure federal prosecutors into trying Detectives Michael Oliver, Gescard Isnora and Marc Cooper for violating Bell's civil rights. The detectives were acquitted of all criminal charges on April25. Bell supporters have vowed to clog city streets from Harlem to Brooklyn to register their rage. Sharpton's team vowed to have lawyers at every location to monitor the protesters and ensure their rights are observed. "I have attorneys that will be at every site," said Michael Hardy, civil lawyer for Paultre Bell and the shooting survivors. "Our job is to make sure that everything is peaceful, that people's rights are not violated, we know where they are going, and they're released expeditiously."

So Much Swagg Inc. Presents Grandz . . . Real name Aki Brice, was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. As a young child he was always into music dancing every time music would play, once he knew how to talk, reciting the words to every song he knew. His mother always knew he would be something in the music industry but she never knew what so she would buy him toy music instruments such as guitars and drums etc. At the age of 13, Grandz got tired of seeing his mother struggling as a single parent and wanted more for himself and his family so that's when he decided to stop reciting rhymes from what he heard and started writing his own songs. Being labeled as a Mama’s boy and not being able to keep up with the latest fashions made Grandz so called friends label him the last to succeed at music or anything that he did, so that gave Grandz the inspiration and drive to really go hard at his new found craft. Grandz was influenced by the artists that were already out at his time such as Run DMC, Big Daddy Kane, and Public Enemy, etc. But when he decided to seriously take up rapping it wasn't until he was 16 when he got his influence from his peers and his surroundings. Grandz has been in many groups dating back to 1993 when he was in high school but with his unique voice and delivery he was always forced to be a solo artist. Grandz has successfully entertained the audiences of many colleges such as Medgar Evers College, New York City Tech, York College, Brooklyn Tech and even John Jay College. Grandz has also performed at such venues as the Boston Comedy Club, Club Pyramid, Jones Beach Greek Fest and Grandz has also headlined a free concert at Battery Park. Grandz has featured on mix tapes such as DJ Chink William’s “Street Credits Vol 1” and several DJ OnPoint mix tapes. Grandz has also just recently landed a spot on the soundtrack of an up coming movie titled "You're Nobody Till Somebody Kills You" directed by Michael "Boogie" Pinkney of Blackfoot Films and produced by Spike Lee. The movie is said to be released early 2008. Grandz also has a small role in the movie where he plays the part of a bouncer of a nightclub for an album release party. “GLEAM” is the name of Grandz latest single that is getting spins by a couple of DJs in a couple of clubs and in 3 short weeks it has been getting Grandz a large buzz on the streets. Grandz is currently working with the likes of Hollywood, Spunk and the legendary Casanova Rud that make up So Much Swagg Inc. Grandz has been compared to the likes of Nelly, Joe Buddens, Busta Rhymes and even Ja Rule when it comes to his energetic stage performances but when it comes to his delivery and presence on the mic there is no comparison this young artist is in a class all by himself. With his raspy voice and sarcastic yet dramatic delivery he stands alone. Universal MC is the way to describe this young artist from club bangers to LL Cool J like ladies songs to street anthems to vivid stories of his life and the streets. Grandz does it all! So in conclusion any label interested in signing Grandz or even considering it should know that Grandz would make a strong contribution to anyone’s roster, this artist knows what it takes to make hits and not only to rap, this artist knows what dedication and determination are all about and with knowledge of the streets and having an ear for good music on top of being from the borough of legends such as Big Daddy Kane, the late great Biggie Smalls and none other than Jay Z himself, Grandz shows how he fits right in ........Grandz he is definitely a true P.O.M.E. ( Product of My Environment).......be on the look out for this rising superstar.
